I had SUCH a great time working with my senior clients last month, they were each so fun & unique in their own individual way and I just love that. I'm happy to announce that I am working on a new website that will specifically cater to seniors so I'll be sure to announce when it's complete. I can't wait to show it to you!!
Hi All, just checking in (at the gentle prompting of my dear friend & cheerleader Deirdre!) to let all of you know that I am indeed alive and kicking. Just recooping and taking some downtime now that the kids are home for the summer. May was a wonderful busy month for Brown-Eyed Girl Photography, I stayed busy busy shooting seniors, families and another wedding with Chasity and I loved every minute of it. Thank you to my clients for trusting me with your precious family memories and I look forward to working with you again in the future!
May is shaping up to be the busiest month that I've seen yet at Brown-Eyed Girl Photography and I thank you all for the opportunities you've given me to photograph your children & families! I apologize for my lack of blog posts lately but I did want to share this photo of my oldest son I took this weekend in Shiner, TX. We were there for my youngest son's baseball tournament for 2 days and never having been there, the others and I went out for a bit of exploring. We found these great railroad tracks and took advantge of the lovely light & scenery. It's amazing how he's turning into such a fine man right before my very eyes, we're so very proud of him and I thank God for the opportunity to be his mother (and for the fact that he'll FINALLY pose for photos!).
Was lucky enough to sneak over and snap a few shots of my dear friend Gretchen's baby daughter the other day and this was one of our faves. Mama was talking to her and clearly even though just 3 weeks old, baby reacted to hearing mama's calm voice and she gave us a brief smile. SO sweet!
Sometimes the best photo sessions are spontaneous ones. We were on our way to visit some friends when they needed to cancel so we pulled off the highway into a small nearby town and found a great train stopped on the tracks. I thought the graffiti'd train cars would make a great back drop for the boys so I snapped some shots and got the money shot thankfully (which is no small feat considering my boys do NOT like to have their photo taken unfortunately!). Wish I was in the shot too but sometimes we can't have it all!

This is the newest addition to the Perenchio Clan......little Jazzy Belle. We adopted her from a friend whose father-in-law fell ill and couldn't take care of her any longer. She's a sweet little Yorkie who just wants to be loved and sit in your lap or follow you around the house as you go about your business. We've only had her for a few weeks and today we were finally able to get her groomed which meant that it was finally time for a photo shoot! Little Jazzy Belle was exhausted from her long day at the groomer but she managed to give me this little diva pose with her new Juicy tee on. I'm all about pampered pets so if you'd like a portrait of your beloved, contact me!
I'm honored to be a contributing photographer for Schertz Tales Magazine now. My first assignment was shooting KSAT-12 news anchor Leslie Mouton for the cover and inside article and have done some bridal shoots for the november issue. I've really enjoyed the assignments they've given me so far and am honored to be able to contribute to my hometown's local publication!
Did a mini-session this weekend for a friend who needed photos to give as Christmas presents. Did the session at her home and snapped some candid shots of her precious kids at play. This is their new guinea pig Cuddles who wanted in on the fun!
Went to Gruene, TX last week for my birthday lunch with my husband and parents and of course I had to snap some shots of the oldest dance hall in Texas! This was one of my favorites from the day.
