Happy November 1st to all of you! Can you believe it, only 2 months of 2007 left? Amazing! Hope all of you had a fun & safe Halloween eve yesterday. We were blessed with warmer dry fall weather, perfect for trick or treating, and the boys all had fun. We live in a smaller safe subdivision so we usually have boys come over from other neighborhoods to trick or treat with our boys and this year was no exception......I had 8 sugared-up hyper boys here which was a mind-scramble! Of course I TRIED to get pics but do you think I could get all of them in one shot or to stand still long enough for a decent shot? HECK NO. *sigh* Ah well, they had fun and now we have enough candy to last us till Easter. Speaking of Halloween, the grown-ups of our neighborhood had our own party saturday night which is always such a blast. The adults are always super-secret as to what costume
they're going to wear so it's fun to see everyone show up & reveal their costumes. Unfortunately Steve and I have a reputation for coming up with creative costumes which all started the year we showed up as Ozzy & Kelly Osborne (back when The Osbornes were on tv & really popular) so each year I stress over what we're going to wear on my limited financial & creative budget! So, this year Steve went as Hugh Hefner and I was his bunny girlfriend. I searched high & low for the black silky pajamas & pipe for him although the red velvety smoking jacket was and easy find thankfully. I was going to go as one of his "Girls Next Door" girlfriends but I've worn the blonde wig the past 2 Halloweens and am tired of it so I thought I'd be the one brunette girlfriend Hef's had in the past decade! It's always fun to be an alter-ego for a night since in my normal day-to-day life I'm about as far from a Playmate as one can possibly get!!!!!
Have you seen it yet??? My boys (Duran Duran) are back and their new video is in rotation on VH1 (when they actually SHOW videos, that is!!). I'm not sure if I'm crazy about the "models in rehab" theme but they didn't consult me on this unfortunately. Anyway, here's the full-video version if you'd like to see it for yourself!
One week from right now I'll be in a plane on my way up to Omaha headed for a few days of glittery girly goodness at
Silver Bella and I can't wait even though I'm not even close to being ready! I need to come up with a westerny Junk Gypsy type outfit for friday night and finish up a dozen swap items but hopefully I can crank out that stuff this weekend. I ordered this <-------- tee from Junk Gypsies and think I'll just wear some ratty jeans, tons of jewelry and some black boots. It's going to be awesome taking classes from awesome women such as Rebecca Sower, Pam Garrison, Teresa McFayden & Charlotte Lyons. I'm especially excited to meet Rebecca since I've admired her and her work for sooooooo long. I'm in desperate need of a girly-fix living with all of these men!
In case you were wondering, I obviously survived the headbangers ball last weekend. It was a gorgeous evening and the show was at an older great outdoor venue and man, that place was PACKED to the gills with folks dressed in black. I'm SO grateful the show was outside because I'd have ended up with major hearing loss & smoke damage to my lungs, that's for sure!! **wheez, cough cough** We still reeked of smoke when we got home even though we were out in the open air, that's how bad it was. The bands were all entertaining each in their own way and I really enjoyed seeing the return of Candlebox. I really liked them back in the 90s and they still look & sound great. So.....no tats, no arrests, no hangover & had fun w/the brother......all in all a good time!
Cute costumes! Sounds like the 'sugared up boys' had fun despite your not being able to get photos of them! lol! Have fun in Omaha!

Fun costumes!!! did the boys dress up? Probably not...Noah is way, WAY too cool to put on a costume, but he was certainly in line for the nachos and candy!

Good day!?
I actually had a quick question and wasn't sure if someone might know if they have
ever encountered this. Have you ever seen a tattoo artist use magnifiers while they are
doing a tattoo? I would think it might be helpful while they are doing the fine points of
a tattoo that require great detail. lower back
tattoo designs for freeMaybe even those magnifying glasses that
your dentist wearing? Anyways wasn't sure if anyone ever encountered this?

The costumes are really great! It is so funny to read this in 2010! The Headbangers show sounds like fun! And aren't you sooo happy it is forbidden to smoke in public places now? hehe :) Things get better with the years!
